I’m Changing How I Detangle My Hip-Length Hair

♥️ I have been undergoing a major evolution in my all natural hair growth promoting routine. Namely, to do with the use of brushes and combs. I used to think these things were anathema (for me and my hair), and now that I have acquired the right kind of tools and techniques I am falling in love with brushes and combs!

🌸This clip was taken a bit earlier in my "evolution" before my newest hair care tools (ie some special wooden combs and a wooden brush) had arrived. I still love boar bristle brushes as well! But the principle is the same: using your natural sebum as a hair styling product by distributing it down your hair, and gently brushing or combing the scalp to keep it clean, vital, and free from buildup. By the way, I have a video coming soon to demonstrate this technique on both my curly dark hair as well as my sister in law's straight, oil prone blond hair! Stay tuned. 🙈
