Refactory Academy working with the Government of Uganda under the ministry of ICT and National guidance has announced the 18th and 19th July for the Uganda Developer Summit 2024 the first of its kind at the National ICT Innovation Hub in Nakawa.
This will focus on unlocking opportunities for software engineers in the digital economy with proper linkage to potential investors and employment opportunities.

The High Court in Jinja has restrained Sheikh Shaban Mubaje from calling himself the legitimate Mufti of Uganda.
An argument raised by Counsel Erias Luyimbaazi Nalukoola, the  attention of Court was drawn to the orders that were directed by Hon Lady Justice Alexandra Nkonge Rugadya.
The Acting Principal Judge on the 22nd December 2023 said Sheikh Mubaje had been already retired in Public interest by the General Assembly that sat on the16th / 17th December 2023 and subsequently His Eminence Sheikh Abdallah Ssemambo was sworn in by the UMSC General Assembly as the Acting Mufti of Uganda. Logically, this is the status quo that was ordered by Court.

Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board- UBTEB has started training of assessors from various vocational and technical institutes across the country.
UBTEB Executive Secretary, Onesmus Oyesigye, says the training aims to produce high-quality, skilled, dynamic, and innovative graduates.

Uganda cancer institute in collaboration with Ministry of Health has received essential equipment and consumables from KOFIH with efforts to enhance cancer care service delivery in Uganda.
The Executive Director of Cancer Institute, Jackson Orem, said that the equipment will enhance cancer centers in Mbarara and other regions in especially tackling cancer in women.
