Why I Became a Gun Owner : A Magic Prepper Story

I wanted to make a video about one of the events in my life that caused me to become a gun owner. Earlier on in my youth I went through a traumatic event that changed the trajectory of my life. I am currently a gun owner, avid 2nd amendment supporter and proponent of the right to self defense and security.
As a prepper, security is the main reason to prepare for SHTF. By having water, food, supplies, and means of defense, we provide ourselves with a form of security against any of the threats that TEOTWAWKI might bring along with it.
Firearms are obviously a very contentious subject to some who are adamantly against it and of course we value everyone's freedom of opinion in this great country. However, if you have never found yourself in a situation where owning a firearm might have been the difference of life or death, then it's much easier to decide that they aren't a necessary prep.
Hopefully my anecdote about what made me a gun owner can help some of you understand why the mentality of "not really needing one" when it comes to firearms is a dangerous mentality to have. It's ok if you are not currently in a position to afford one or for whatever legal purposes you are not able to but, acknowledging that it would be beneficial to have one, especially in preparation for SHTF, is a good mindset to have.
