Patrick Bet-David: What inspired you to go out there and want to do what you've done your entire life?
Dr Judy Mikovits: Well, it's actually because when I was, oh, maybe 10 or 12 years old, my grandfather got lung cancer. And so at that time, cancer was a closet disease. Nobody said anything about it. It was nobody knew if it was infectious, nobody knew anything. So I thought, well, we should be able to understand what causes cancer, and how to treat it like with food and with plant. So I went to University of Virginia, and got a degree in chemistry with a specialization in biology. I think of the 128 hours I took between 1976 and 1980, I took 124 hours in science biology, science physics, math, and 4 hours of German because it was required to get a chemistry degree.
I didn't take an English class. I didn't take a history class. I didn't get in medical school because we didn't have any money. And so I thought what I'll do on March 31 1980, the cover of Time Magazine was a hypodermic needle with a drop coming out. It was the big IF, interferon, the magic bullet for cancer. The reason I remember it, like it was yesterday, is it was the day before my birthday. So I saw that magazine, I answered an ad in The Washington Post, looking for biochemist to purify interferon. And I'm like, That's the job. I'm gonna go spend one or two years learning how to cure cancer and then I'll go back to medical school and it ended up being 40 years.

How many have we created, John? How many XMRVs are out there? —Judy Mikovits'
... in the winter of 2010-2011, Ruscetti was unexpectedly called into a meeting in his supervisor's office, the head of Center for Cancer Research (CCR), with Coffin and six of his colleagues. At that time, Coffin and Dr. Vinay Pathak presented their evidence that Silverman's XMRV was actually a laboratory-generated virus as a result of a recombination between what they called preXMRV-1 and Pre XMRV-2. This recombination had such a low chance of occurring that XMRV in any specimens that contained evidence of XMRV must have been contaminated through routine lab procedures like tissue culture and concluded there was no evidence that people or any animal species were naturally infected by XMRV.
This meant to them that all the positive data had either to be a result of contamination with mouse products or a laboratory-made viral artifact generated by recombination. Coffin told Frank Ruscetti that "Science started this and Science will end it." Ruscetti thought to himself then, "What had Science started?" ...

The journey was: well, maybe the polio vaccine actually wasn't as necessary as we thought, maybe we could have solved a problem with doing away with rampant pesticide use. I got to: well, actually, the polio vaccine was completely unnecessary, but the others are necessary. The others, these diseases were horrible. Through additional research understanding that the measles infection was an innocuous infection that no one ever died from, with proper levels of nutrition, Vitamin A in particular. I started to think well, why was the measles vaccine invented? No one was dying of it, in the United States.
It wasn't a rampant terrible disease. Why did they do it? Well, it was because they could. It was because they thought they could eradicate the disease with a vaccine. And if you study measles, you will understand it started with the promise of eradication, you know, everyone gets the vaccine within two or three years, it'll be eradicated. And, and on and on it goes, till the point it's not eradicated.
So I transitioned into the: well, maybe there are some vaccines that are useful and others that really you don't need. I then made the jump to what I call a "first world anti-Vaxxer", which is: well, we need vaccines in the third world, they don't have the medical care and nutrition that we might have here. So sure, maybe a couple of hippies in California can afford to skip it. But if everyone skipped it, and then especially in the third world, no, you know, we have to do that, we will lose herd immunity.
I then realized herd immunity was a falsity in the case of several vaccines. And I'm beginning to wonder if it's completely false for all vaccines. You will know this certainly with all the COVID vaccine research you've done, the notion of herd immunity is false for the COVID vaccine. ...

Clay Clark: What would you say to President Trump? If you were in the White House today, on the other side of the election? What would you say to him?
Dr Judy Mikovits: I would, first of all, thank him for draining the swamp. You see, we were up to our ears in alligators. So we had to drain the swamp before we could do anything. I would say thank you. And I fully appreciate his words, because I appreciate that he got captured, if you will, in 2019 in September, before they rolled out COVID, they had one more guy to get and that was Trump, and what I mean by that was deceive trick, you know, where other advisors went to him and confuse him and deceive him. So he made a mistake. He signed the universal flu vaccine. And I believe that's also something that David Martin’s told us all about. So warp speed, but he was very clever in his words, because warp speed in science is an oxymoron. Science, and this comes from our book Ending Plague, science takes a very long time.
Science is not medicine. We don't understand how to apply discoveries until we have technologies to measure them. And so now we have the technologies to measure them. That's true science. And then we can actually, in a scientific way with data; I've never once in my entire life used a statistical program, or any opinion of anybody else.
