In light of the current ongoing large-scale military conflict in Ukraine and talk of a NATO-Russia conventional military conflict in Europe sometime between 2024 and 2030, something is clear the entire narrative revolving around Mutually Assured Destruction or M.A.D. is totally false. I was thinking about a year or so ago that the current conflict in Ukraine literally shouldn't be happening because it would have already triggered M.A.D.

Growing up I read a lot of Cold War history and studied nuclear strategy and I believed like most people in the 1990s and oughtys that no large-scale wars could occur between nuclear-armed powers and yet here we are.
