Hey guys,

I know that it's been a long time since I've uploaded and that this isn't my usual type of video, but I wanted to give you something so you know I'm still around, plus I personally like ASMR and thought I'd try out this type since I don't have the soothing voice required for the roleplay scripts, though I did add a little Latin practice for myself in here. I'm sure my pronunciation is all wrong, so feel free to correct me.

So, I (re)discovered that I had a mod I hadn't been using for my game and decided to play it. I really like what the mod does to the game, unfortunately, my computer just can't handle it, so this will be the only time I use the mod until I get a better computer. All that said, I do think you guys should check out this mod as it really ups both the experience and the historical accuracy of Rome Total War.

It also looks like I'll have to turn off the music during my gameplay as it still overpowers my voice, which is a bummer since the RTW OST is great, but you've got to do what you've got to do.

Since my voice is shot due to recent illness, I thought I'd exchange my usual storytelling and historical discussion for a little gameplay.

It's the Western Roman Empire vs. the Franks. This is actually the first time I've played Total War: Attila, as, for some reasons, I never got around to it. Luckily, my first battle did not result it a butt-kicking.

Tell me what you guys think and if you like having gameplay on this channel or, you know, you just want to yell at me for losing my shock cavalry due to sheer negligence.

For a while now, I've been concerned about the state of modern historical writing and decided to talk about with a few, egregious examples.

Hello everyone.

This is my first attempt at doing an audio serial story, in the vein of "The Shadow" or other radio-based stories of old. I'm really excited to try my hand at this and would love to hear any plot ideas that you think would work this new character and serial. This is meant as a kind of response or counter to all those "spicy" romance novels where the woman meets a cruel, but wounded bad boy, but ends up falling in love with him because, "I can change him!". Perhaps I'm being too harsh since I've enjoyed a few of those myself as they're quick, pallet-cleansers. Even so, I thought it would be kind of fun to do a story about someone going after all the rakes and seducers from those novels.

In case you were curious, the piece that plays at the beginning and end is Gregor Quendel's "Scarlatti - Sonata in F Minor". I tested out a few pieces and this was seemed perfect for this series.

For my second video, I thought I'd do 10 quick fun facts about the Roman Empire.

For my first, history video, I decided to talk about something I have recently learned about through Paul Stephenson's book "New Rome: The Empire in the East", that being the so-called "Lead Age" of Rome. I am very much enjoying the book so far and highly recommend it. I'm currently listening on Hoopla, which I also recommend as they have an exceptional library of history books in both e-book and audiobook form. Hoopla is also great as you can get free through you library.
