This scenario has always intrigued me.
The only encounter between these two I know of was at Singapore with the British aircraft destroyed on the ground due to espionage. What would happen in a 1 on 1 between the two most legendary dog-fighters ever?…

I used a combination of hard data and role play techniques to simulate the joust.
Tactically the spitfire in a turn against the torque, but the lighter zero would win with a turn in the direction of torque. Experienced pilots would know this and avoid each other's strong points...
