197? Elazar Shach of the Ponevezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak was publicly critical of Schneerson, & accusing him of creating a cult of crypto-messianism around himself. & objected to his calling upon the Messiah to appear and eventually called for a boycott of Chabad and its institutions

2010, New York judge ruled in favor of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, ownership vs the Gabbayim

now a community synagogue & as the former home of Menachem Mendel Schneerson who passed in 1994 it is revered as the Rebbe's home & also as the Messiah's home by an extremist splinter Messianic sect of student "Lubavitchers" group who dug the half a block long tunnel from an empty building to provide them full access to & to expanded the head quarters building as holy ground for Hasidim in Brooklyn & to fight over control over it even after Agudath Chasidei Chabad, won the building ownership & religious movement a decade ago but Messianic Lubavitchers continue to contest the structure as territory in this Orthodox Hasidic dynasty
