This is the best quantitative analysis of the coronavirus pandemic that I've seen to date. It tracks the life cycle of the virus, quantifies its severity in terms of mortality rates and excess deaths compared with previous years, and places COVID-19 in an illuminating historical context by comparing it with pandemics from the past.
If the conclusions this video draws are accurate, then I have to wonder if the people with their hands on the levers of power in this world are totally incompetent (charitable interpretation), megalomaniacal and totally self-interested parties who subordinate truth to power in their decision-making (cynical interpretation), or possibly a combination of both.
I came up with the following hypothesis a number of years ago. I'll let you all decide if the last six months have strengthened or weakened my "crazy tinfoil hat" suspicions.
Mass behaviour is shaped by mass perception, mass perception is shaped by mass media and the world's media is in the hands of a relatively tiny few people, all of whom work in concert, like a cartel, to push messages and narratives which serve their own perceived collective agenda and mutual interests.* Loosely speaking, that agenda is monopolistic hegemony over world affairs, financial, cultural and political.
In America, the heart of the world's modern-day empire, there are a tiny handful of mega-corporations through which all TV media and entertainment is funnelled and the range of discussion and thought thereby confined to a narrow window of "acceptable" opinions. Any ostensible political differences between public figures given a platform by the mainstream media are generally trivial and inconsequential. These small differences provide the masses with the illusion of choice.
If you've ever wondered why there's such little disagreement in the media, even when their narratives and claims would appear to be undermined, if not outright refuted, by the empirical data, then this is why. If a false or scientifically unsubstantiated narrative is more expedient than the truth (or an honest and uncompromising quest for the truth), then the truth won't get a look-in!
But behind control over the world's media is a greater power still, namely control over the world's money supply. And this power lies firmly in the hands of private international bankers (see Prof. Richard Werner on modern-day banking which creates money ex nihilo) who control the world's reserve currency, the US dollar. This is "the one ring to rule them all", to quote Tolkien.
So, I'm afraid that even creating your own media network will not suffice! If you become influential enough, then, sooner or later, you'll be made an offer you can't refuse, or daren't refuse!
Therefore, the only solution I can recommend if you're unhappy with your country being held hostage - effectively occupied - by an international elite is to create your own money. It should be labour-based and not credit/debt-based, it should be nationalised or, at minimum, decentralised, and it should be based on the creation of real tangible wealth and not financial speculation and usury which merely extracts wealth.
As to how you can do all this while escaping the baleful eye of Sauron, causing him to raise up his armies of darkness to wage war on you and put an end to your "shenanigans".... that part I haven't figured out yet!**

*Sometimes, the convergence of narrative occurs through active collaboration (yes, people conspiring for a mutual interest does happen despite the negative connotations the word "conspiracy" has taken on in recent decades in order to protect said conspirators!... How convenient). At other times, it emerges like a focal point in game theory, sometimes referred to as a Shelling point after the Nobel prize-winning economist and game theorist, Thomas Schelling.
