Lydia exclaimed, "That's it! I want a rain chain!"
Since I have hearing loss and I don't always understand completely I said, "What's a rain chain?"
Then I looked up what a rain chain is.
It is a chain that hangs from a gutter and takes the place of a downspout.
Our side porch roof gutter dumps onto the ground and splashes.
The chain stops the splashing.
I went to Menards to buy a Rain Chain.

I went to Menards to buy a Rain Chain. It will be in a later video.
On the way home I stopped at a garage sale and picked up a cool Tonka Turbo Dump Truck.
When I turned around there was another sale.
The lady was selling clothes and giving away tools.
Perfect!
I picked up a tool box and filled it with tools. Very happy with my haul.

I'm still correcting for the distortion in my right eye's visual acuity.
Moving closer to the weld helps with my vision. One draw back is the amount of smoke and fumes. I need to set up a fume extractor.
Lots of my skill in welding was hand eye coordination. Some of that is coming back. I still need a new pair of glasses. I have to wait for the retinae to return to it's normal shape. Gets better but won't be perfect.

Cleaning up the Annex.
Over the winter I kept working on the shelving and moving things into the shop. I also worked on wiring the lights, door opener, outlets and other items.
That meant having various and sundry items stacked in temporary storage.
I intend to have the rest of the equipment moved to the Annex and available for use.
So I spent the day disassembling and sorting pallet wood into usable or scrap wood.

Wake up cold and end up cleaning the basement and servicing the furnace.
Fortunately it was only the pilot going out but since it was the first time it has happened in 13 years I made sure that there wasn't an issue with the thermocouple.
