The Faithful God
“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” Psalms 89:1
One of the defining characteristics of God is that He is faithful! He will always keep His Word. He can be trusted.
In Psalm chapter 89 God made some wonderful promises to King David.
“I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.” Psalms 89:3-4
Just think of that! God made a covenant with David that his seed would be established forever, and that his throne would endure throughout all generations! He continues, and states emphatically . . .
“My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; if they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.” Psalms 89:28-37
We know that God always keeps His Word, so where is that Throne today?
Does God keep His Word? Yes He does! And the coronation of the King is one of the surest testaments to His faithfulness that we can think of!
Watch the video to find out just how God has kept the promises that He made to David.

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
