To have a 7 figure product launch, for #ecommerce, #infoproducts, #Saas, or physical products, you need a LOT of things to go right. It doesn't just happen.
Two categories of things in particular are key to highlight. You need some foundational factors to be right, and then you need the tactical elements to be right. Let's see how this works.
A core first foundational factor is your own level of intentionality with your product launch. Many times, you might be tempted to just give it the barest of effort, and say that now the product is live, yay, you launched!
While that gets you IN the market, it's not nearly enough, in most cases, to get you WINNING in the market. A good model to look at on this front is Apple and their iPhone launches. When Apple launches an iPhone, boy, they REALLY launch. Everything is scripted out and calculated months if not years in advance. There's a ton of intentionality behind the whole thing.
On the tactical side, how you turn up is just as important. I recommend a set of launch tactics in my "7 Figure Product Launches" consulting process that I call "The Core 5." Try these on for size and see how they help you turn your product launch into a much bigger thing:
1. The Incredible Yearlong Profits Funnel
This is a funnel that takes cold prospects from email optin to sold, over a yearlong nurturing process. That means one other thing: plan for your launch to run a really long time if you want a #7FigureProductLaunch
2. Cross Sells And Upsells
While it might be fashionable to recommend selling just one thing, the reality is, "the worst number in business is 1." If you've got nothing to cross sell and upsell, it's gonna be pretty hard to compete on paid traffic. Model the famous sentence that has made McDonald's billions: "Want fries with that?"
3. Paid Advertising
Besides SEO, there perhaps exists no stratagem in marketing that is as ill understood and wrongly viewed, both by its proponents and its critics, as paid advertising. ..
There's a lot of ways to have huge success with a product launch, whether that's an ecommerce product, SaaS package, or info products, or other product types.
But just as Charlie Munger advised, applying the method of INVERSION is a great way to zero in on what works.
This method simply says, to arrive at your desired destination, first identify all the easy to spot ways that lead AWAY from your desired destination. Then, AVOID those directions like the plague, and you're likely to have a safer path to your desired destination.
Applying this thinking to your product launch, you should avoid these "directions" that lead AWAY from a 7 figure product launch.

I've played around with Pentatonics, Diatonic Scales, and the Blues Scale. Out of them, my favorite of them all is...
The Diatonics!!! Bar none.
I like country music styles, and they tend to draw notes from the full diatonic scales.
I'm an even bigger metal fan, and there anything goes. There's guys making heavy use of the pentatonics for that darker, minor-based sound with crazy riffs, guys using the blues scales, and a lot of exotic scales and modes. But knowing the Diatonic scale and having all those notes instantly available to you will help there too, however, you want to be a bit more minimalistic if you want that darker, minor-based sound.
I'm a fan of the blues. The blues scale just sings!!!! But it ain't my go to when I play.

If your course costs just $1,000, you might feel compelled to get on the phone to make the sale, but chances are, you really don't need to.
After all, a $1,000 dollar course is far from "high ticket." It's a figure that your market shouldn't have to lose a lot of sleep over making that decision, and the extra objection help you can give them on the phone, and extra questions you can answer for them personally, might not be as huge of an issue at this price point.
However, there's at least one really good scenario for getting on the phone to close sales for a $1,000 dollar course.

Services funnels require careful thought. You can't just shotgun it!
First of all, your services funnel needs a few things to be effective:
- a service package
- a way to talk with interested prospects about the service package
- a nurturing mechanism
- a way to get leads to sign up for your nurturing sequence
- a way to drive traffic to the funnel
We just reverse engineered the process by which someone becomes a client for your services.
The very last step is you actually delivering the promised services.
But before that, you need to close the sale on the phone.
And just before that, they go through your email nurturing sequence and finally decide to book a call with you.
And that is preceeded by them seeing your great lead magnet and signing up for your email sequence.

Your first 10 customers. Boy oh boy, that's a wonderful little challenge.
You might have no audience. If you did, that'd make everything easier. Just go rally your audience around the new cool thing you just created for them to enjoy. Problem solved!
But if you're in the second category of coaches, that you have done a lot of cool stuff with clients maybe one on one. but you don't really have a huge audience for a course launch, you need to get creative.
One of the very best methods I can recommend for landing your first 10 course buyers in that case is simply to run a series of training events.
I've worked with some fitness coaches and I think for a fitness coach, since you typically have some kind of offline interaction with people, running local events might be a very good way to get people that see you in the gym everyday, interested in your new course. You could probably sell out the course launch very very quickly by running a series of 1-day events, and then inviting participants to buy the new course on the spot.
If I was a fitness coach, and I had no audience, and wanted to get my first 10 customers for my fitness course, that's probably what I'd do!

If you are selling 1 on 1 coaching, you're likely going to be spending a lot of time with your students.
This means that you will need to build a high degree of camaraderie with these people. And that starts right in your first interaction, whether that's a sales call or earlier in the process.
So, welcome them how you'd like to be welcomed. Be courteous. Don't use high pressure sales tactics. Answer all questions they might have about your unique process and how your coaching will help them.
Finally, do ask them to sign the check and get the ball rolling. If you don't ask for the sale, you can't actually start to help them get the result they want in their lives!

Getting a ton of Yelp reviews can be helpful for building your online reputation as a local small busines. After all, when consumers search online for cool local places to go, Yelp reviews and other local site reviews are what they use to judge which places look cool and which others do not.

Boy oh boy! Sure the answer might look obvious:
"Of course social media marketing is useful for small businesses..."
But not so fast.
In fact, if you'd asked me a year or two ago, I might have said, "Well, given the fact that you might be looking for local traffic that circulates within a very small square miles' radius, it might or might not be effective to have social media as marketing for your local small business."

This is a bit like asking what is the best way to get to Paris.
The answer is, from where? And in what kind of time?
But let's look at the basics:
- You need to have a good deal of display material on the street, pavement, your store windows, or local signposts, posters, billboards, whatever you have access to so at least your natural traffic can find you and know what you have to offer
- Flyers - these are good to supplement what fixed signage can do for you. Have someone distribute them to passersby, or go yourself and distribute them around town. Make them as high quality as you can so you can telegraph a brand they WANT to check out.
- Music and other entertainment - good if you have a hospitality type business, having music, whether recorded or live, lets passersby know this is the place where coolness happens, and they need to check it out
- Yellow page ads - if you have the budget for it, they are good, and try and make sure you're in the phone book
- Local SEO fundamentals - I'm such a non-believer in SEO, but local SEO can help. Just don't be bamboozled into paying a ton of money for something that doesn't work
- Social media marketing - I highly recommend it. Your brick and mortar business will likely get way more business from social media marketing than it will from SEO, depending on where you live
- Events and promotions - I love events, whether offline or online, for their promotional potential.
