I have actually, run into quite a lot of fancy faucets for very, inexpensive price, at Habitat for Humanity, where they people donate, construction items so that they can sell it and or use it to build houses for people. So, I've found some elaborately fancy, faucets on broken cabinet tops. So they sell the, the cabinet top with that really fancy faucet for five bucks on the premise that, you know, it's no good.

Well, you can take that faucet off of that broken plate marble top and put it on another top. So I've, I've really done well. Yeah. Yard sales and things like that.

Hey. You're here again? Guess what? We are changing out a shower. Nothing really wrong with this shower. Other than, a wheelchair has to go over this three inch ledge and over this ledge inside, here, in and out. And that's really hard to do. to get a shower for somebody that needs a wheelchair to get, and then has to have somebody help them.

So in order to keep those people from have an injury, try and lift up and wiggle and pull all that out. We're going to try and take this shower out and have a, floor that's covered with ceramic that goes in the inch, inch and a half fall from the back to here. And I'm also going to get like an inch.

By the way, for all you people to not get discouraged. It took me two hours to drive here over two hours. Then it took an hour to unload the materials and put it in us. A secure place where it's not going to get very wet or wet at all and start spreading out the tools. So we got three hours of, driving and spreading the materials. So whenever you get into it and you get like discouraged.

And we're just with two people. Don't be discouraged. It's part of it. This may not be something that you see, and we're not going to show you all the work that we're going to do all the way around taking out the drywall, but it's part of it. So don't be discouraged. They know that you can do it. It just takes some time.

I want you to know that the time involved is part of it. maybe to give more respect to the, the guy who's doing the work. And if you're doing the work, allow for that time. Okay.

All right. To note, if you want to take out the pins in a cross drive system, you have to use a pipe wrench and you really.

You take your hammer, your sledge hammer and your hammer, loosen it, and then you take your. Your a longer one than this, but you tighten it up where it starts to get where it starts, tighten on the pin and then start pulling up and twisting it. And you're loosening the dirt, and you're twisting it inside that hole and pulling it out at the same time.

And it can be done if you try to pull it out with a winch, truck or anything else are going to be circles or U-shaped. they're not going to come out very easy. But that's how I've done it over and over again. Some of them are harder than others, and they'll have rust on the end. you'll end up having to knock off some of the rust to get it to go through this head.

And, that's what you do there. Use a pipe wrench and you twist and hold it. Hold, pulled up on it at the same time. That's because you're Americans. Yep. You're not a Americant’s. You're Americans. See you guys.

In our adventures, we found that, for some reason, when you turn the breaker off the power still stayed on with the lights. The main. And, what we found was see this white wire here that's supposed to be on the neutral side. And they've got the hot on the neutral side and the neutral on the hot side.

But in that, home that I was talking about, we had, an interesting faucet that was probably quite expensive in the stand that went into it, went into bowl. It's drops down into a, sticks up out of the, cabinet. But it had like, the old, fill valves for, pumping up the unloads into it.

Well, they had it hooked up backwards. so that had to be straightened out. And, the faucet in another one was the aerator was clogged up. So, those are things I'm finding out that, even though you have aerators to spread out, the the stream and make it look good on those faucets or those plumbing fixtures, now they're putting water savers on showerheads, like you're you're trying to get wet.

They're putting water savers on toilet fill valves. Okay. The the toilets going to fill to a certain point. Why would you need to put a water saver? Well, they made a law for people, right. So, they're putting these, water savers on, on the downspouts and insert well in inside of, shower, one single ..

All the things you can run into in a week as a handy man.

Well, here we are, moving up the company ladder. Up on the roof. Tearing this building down. He'll show you the size of it, and we'll try to keep up with, on occasion, showing you, what we're doing. As we're going, we're pulling the screws out of the tin. They don't want to say the washers. So we're going to roll and move it and probably get the metal off today. We'll see.

Seven hours later, we got all the metal off the sides and the roof, and we stacked it up over there. And uh. Three quarters of a five gallon bucket full of screws. And we started taking off the one bys through here. What we're doing is using, two by four.

Just like that, we're going to start over again tomorrow because, Clay's got something he wants to do. So this is what you can do if you've a mind you are an American, not American’t.

So now, eight hours later, which is now 15 hours on the job, this is what we got done.

We're still working at it. Should make pretty quick progress when we're down the ground. See you in a little bit.

Well, we've arrived on the job site, but what you don't see when you repairman shows up is that I spent a little over an hour trying to find the faucet. that is specific to mobile homes. Lowe's didn't have it. They supposed to have had it, but they didn't, and Home Depot did. And, that's quite often the case.

Also, we had to check the oil in the truck. put the ladder on, strap it down. There's a number of things you gotta do just to get the materials to do the job. So before you get upset with, how much time the guy has not been there, and then all of a sudden, he charges you. He's got fuel, wear and tear on his vehicle, his time driving into town.

Go into one place, then another. And believe me, even when you check on the app and say, oh, it does have it. And they say, yeah, which shows we got three, but we don't have one anyway. It's a journey and I'm going to take you on it, from this point where we have arrived at the house and the first thing we're going to do is take a ladder extension ladder and fix some metal that flipped up.

So we'll show you that.

So we came to Mount Judea, which is a place not far from where I was raised. And we were here to watch the eclipse, which is starting. And, we came here because Clay wanted to see the totality, and we didn't even know anything about it. It gets last longer in this area. So this is a unique little town.

Used to be all dirt roads. Come back to here. But now we're here because we want to see what's happening. So you get to be with us.

Starting to get like late evening sun and, it's almost covered up, but eclipses all. Look at how the birds are acting.

So, we drove two hours to come over and see the totality of the eclipse in Mount Judea, Arkansas. You may not know that town, but we are here.

Here we are to see the unusual eclipse once every 20 years.

They're going to be like, why am I looking at an orange dot in the sky?

Ta-da, we'll see a little bit more in a minute.

So we're noticing the birds are getting all weirded out flying around. They weren't before. Temperature's changed. It's a little darker, and it's winds picked up. Kind of odd. But now we have very, very close to eclipse. Kind of interesting.

All right. So these are the things I kind of look for. you might not notice. This pier is done right.

Except to the very top. See where the shackle. They set the pier up where the shackle would be, and it broke the half pad. Can't even tell it on this side. Can't tell so much on this. But you sure can tell it right here on the end. That means that only the little part.

Is holding the house. Okay, so we're going to take jack it up, take that out and put in wood again. It has an inch and a half wood on top. But we need to get a little bit more. So we'll put it in some 4x4s and build it up so it has more squash room. And we'll definitely stay away from that.

Shackled up for the axles.

Now, whenever you're moving this water level around, you're going to have to hold your thumb on it. What I have done in the past is you use like, wire nuts, things like that to stop it up, but you need to make sure they're not leaking because of this level changes because you leaked water out. You can't count on it being the same height anymore.

Okay, so what I normally do is run it over to the frame, the area that I'm going to be leveling, and I stick it above the frame and the friction holds it there. And I can literally, I can just hold touch it like so, and I can see what I need to do without actually. And then I can go over here and jack it up or whatever.
