The church's defense is that it relied on legal counsel, adjusted its reporting once the SEC raised concerns, and that the penalties imposed were not severe, arguing this was not a major scandal but rather an attempt to navigate complex financial regulations. I say it is a witch hunt! However, the SEC found the church and Ensign Peak went to "great lengths" to hide the true size of the investment portfolio. I want to ad that the Church is true inspite of the faults of individuals in it.

Hello my friends! It's me, [Your Name] from The Last Dispensation. Today, I want to talk about a concerning article I recently read from The Cougar Chronicle regarding Brigham Young University (BYU) editing the words of one of our beloved Apostles.
BYU removed several key passages from a speech given by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. One of the removed sections was where Elder Holland reminded BYU that the Prophet is the ultimate authority over all Church schools and that they are answerable to him.
The Danger of Informal Apostasy
President Ezra Taft Benson warned us about the dangers of informal apostasy, where we slowly drift away from the teachings of the prophets without even realizing it:
"There is a power in the Church, and in the lives of righteous members of the Church, which will enable them to resist the attacks of the adversary. There is no power in the Church that can protect us from apostasy except the power that flows from effective, converts, committed, and inspired members who know the word of God." As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I want to address the recent article in The Salt Lake Tribune that attempts to paint our Church in a negative light regarding near-death experiences and apocalyptic writings.
First and foremost, it's important to understand that the vast majority of Latter-day Saints do not even discuss or engage with the books and authors mentioned in this article, such as Chad Daybell and "Visions of Glory." These are fringe elements that do not represent the beliefs and practices of the mainstream Church.
