Chicago’s O’Hare Airport has gone dystopian and looks more “like a scene from Mad Max” than the illegal immigrant temporary holding area Democratic city leaders are calling it.
Those leftist leaders are getting hammered for hundreds of illegal immigrants being housed at O’Hare International Airport, one of the nation’s busiest airports. The unsanitary, crowded conditions more closely resemble a third-world poverty-stricken shanty town than a world-class transit hub. Some migrants describe the situation as inhumane.
The makeshift shelter is feeding the migrants instant ramen, lacks access to healthcare, has no showers and laundry, provides inadequate bedding, and has no support for placing children in schools, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
“While they find another place for us to go, some have been here for 10 days. But people keep leaving and the city of Chicago will take us and will find a place for us to stay,” Rayberth, a Venezuela migrant who has been staying at O’Hare for almost a week, told NewsNation.
“Here, we are truly in conditions that are not at all humane. There are many children sick to their stomachs and other things because the food they are being given is not adequate food,” the migrant stated.
