There are some HUGE things coming to Bitcoin, and they involve using the Bitcoin L1 Blockchain for a myriad of things: NFTs, Smart Contracts, Bundling Transactions, etc. Bitcoin will become the #1 choice for securely sending and receiving all types of data. Other Cryptos (Shitcoins) that rely on gimmicks such as: Faster Transactions, Cheaper Fees, and Smart Contracts, will have some serious competition from an already superior Cryptocurrency.
This new "bundling" multiple transactions as an inscription inside a single Sat while sharing just 1 send fee among the many transactions within, could be a Lightning killer. Sure it will still take 10 min to process a block, but the fees will drop to pennies and it wont require hoops to jump through and possible lost Sats from defunct chains like with Lightning now. Lightning is great for fast and cheap transactions when using BTC as money, but the L2 network is not as bulletproof as BTC L1.
