Classic Match | Beast Boy (c) v. Naruto Uzumaki v. Edward Elric (Impulse Championship) | Animania II
Relive ACW's classic matches from the golden era with matches from Excel, Impulse, Mega Events, and other special occasions. All reuploads of classic matches have been remastered from a visual and audio perspective to provide the fans with a better experience.
At Animania I in 2007, Beast Boy shocked fans when he defeated champion Robin and Naruto Uzumaki to become the Impulse World Championship. Beast Boy and Robin were apart of the faction Teen Titans on Impulse and created an anti-anime sentiment but there was tension beginning to build between the two. Beast Boy's title win only cemented those feelings and shortly after, the Titans broke up. During this time, Edward Elric made history and won the first-ever Road to Destiny match to win the briefcase while months later, Naruto began his chase back to the title and won the Impulse Rumble match in 2008. While Naruto's Animania promise was official by the Rumble win, Elric became the opportunist and traded in his briefcase to make the Impulse World title match a three-way. This match is arguably regarded, by many fans, as the most important match in ACW history due to the controversial ending of the match and the seismic shift caused by the end of Degeneration X with Gohan betraying Naruto, Gohan winning the Impulse title via the Road to Destiny briefcase he won earlier, and the beginning of Gohan's storied career & ACW's meteoric rise as a premier league in CAW. The rest, as they say, is history.
