Classic Match | Cloud Strife (c) v. Joe Higashi (Television Championship) | ACW High Voltage 2015
Relive ACW's classic matches from the golden era with matches from Excel, Impulse, Mega Events, and other special occasions. All reuploads of classic matches have been remastered from a visual and audio perspective to provide the fans with a better experience.
In 2015, it was a tumultuous season for Anime Championship Wrestling as the Juraian-Saiyan Alliance were creating chaos mostly on the Impulse brand while on Excel, the dangerous Akuma reigned supreme as the dominant Excel World champion by defeating every opponent in front of him. However, depending on how you view him, there was a certain light on Excel at the time and that was Cloud Strife as the Television champion. Cloud won the title from Edward Elric at Fusion earlier in the season and has carried the title up to High Voltage but his opponent has also been on a strong streak as well. Joe Higashi had just been drafted to Excel from Impulse the season prior after coming off holding the longest reigning Cruiserweight Championship title reign in company history and still holds that record to this day. Joe came into High Voltage with a lot of hype and chose the stipulation for the match, which would be a Ladder match. The Ladder match Cloud and Joe would have for the Television Championship would be regarded, arguably, as the greatest ladder match in ACW history and cemented Cloud and especially Joe's careers after the match was over.
