On January 29th, 2020, a Louisiana state trooper was patrolling the area and saw a vehicle going 81 mph in a 45 mph zone. The trooper turned around and activated his emergency lights and sirens. Instead of stopping, the driver continued to speed. The driver eventually came to a stop in a driveway and immediately got out of the car and tried to go inside the house. The driver was later identified as Ashley Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald was arrested and charged with speeding, failure to signal turn and aggravated flight from an officer.
