#RafiFarber - Yen Collapse Suggests We are At the Tipping Point of Keynesian Failure
If there's one myth that Keynesianism has ingrained successfully into the sound money gold and silver community, it's that higher rates are the solution to higher consumer prices. We are about to see that myth blasted into subatomic pieces so small it will conclusively demonstrate the existence of quarks.
The yen is collapsing as we speak, and the mainstream is blaming it on the fact that the Bank of Japan refuses to hike rates. However, if the BoJ does raise rates, the yen will collapse even faster, a tight correlation we've seen since 2015.
Once the Keynesian world at large understands that higher rates are now synonymous with what they call "inflation", they'll be completely out of options. It may only take one more panicked hike by the BoJ to finally slay the "higher rates equals lower inflation" dragon, at which point the deep, dark realization of what the Central Banks have done to their currencies may finally take its gold and silver shape.

In this video, I discuss the various ways in which the US government is trying to navigate its sovereign debt crisis.
Its primary goal is to force people and institutions to hold its toxic debt, whether through persuasion, coercion, or regulation.
Barring that, the US gov is happy to herd people into the Bitcoin spot ETFs, which enables them to stockpile BTC primarily at Coinbase Custody for eventual seizure.
Unless something changes, self-custody will continue to be discouraged, and Bitcoiners and Bitcoin companies will continue to be harassed and driven out of the US.
Bitcoin remains the best asset to use to protect yourself from fiat monetary debasement (inflation) and government seizure.

Bei einem Abendessen im römischen Palazzo des Adelsgeschlechts Colonna fragte der US-Anwalt James Rickards seine Gastgeberin, wie es ihrer Familie gelungen sei, den Reichtum über 900 Jahre zu bewahren. Die Antwort: "Ein Drittel Gold, ein Drittel Kunst, ein Drittel Land." Davon angeregt, hat der Bestsellerautor ein Portfolio entwickelt, das den Weltuntergang überstehen soll und das er im letzten Kapitel seines neuen Buches darlegt. Zuvor begründet er im Ton einer Feuerwehrsirene, warum ein Weltkrieg und der Kollaps des Finanzsystems nahen. Rickards hat bereits mehrere Weltuntergangsbücher geschrieben ("Die Geld-Apokalypse", "Währungskrieg"), das Szenario ist also bekannt. Interessant ist an dem neuen Werk vor allem das Depot für die Apokalypse. Stellt sich die Frage: Was taugt es? Kurzfristig lässt sich damit wenig verdienen, der Bargeldanteil (aus Sicherheitsgründen teils in Geldscheinen) liegt bei 30 Prozent. Hinzu kommen 10 Prozent in Staatsanleihen. Dieser Teil fällt als Renditequelle aus - im Zweifel noch sehr lange. Denn auch Rickards weiß nicht, wann der große Crash über uns hereinbricht. Sein Rat, 20 Prozent des Vermögens in Immobilien zu stecken, insbesondere in eine selbst genutzte Wohnung, ist bei den bereits sehr hohen Preisen in vielen deutschen Großstädten auch eher schwierig. Ebenso wie die Empfehlung, ein Zehntel in Wagniskapital zu investieren (neben 10 Prozent in Gold und Silber, 10 in Aktien und 5 in Hedgefonds).
Erleichternd, wenn ein Krisenbuch doch noch eine gute Nachricht enthält: Der Euro ist gar nicht so schlecht! Deprimierend, dass es ansonsten nur schlechte Nachrichten gibt: Der Dollar ist so marode, dass er unsere Welt – vor allem deren amerikanischen Teil – zum Einsturz bringen wird, sagt Wall-Street-Veteran James Rickards voraus. So detailliert und sachkundig er seine beunruhigenden Vorhersagen auch begründet, so fraglich ist die Basis dieser prophetischen Selbstsicherheit. Den Leser beschleichen Zweifel, ob man sich wirklich gegen Bürgerkrieg und Staatsterror wappnen kann, indem man pfiffiges Portfoliomanagement (Kunstwerke kaufen!) betreibt. Vor lauter Alarmismus gerät außerdem in den Hintergrund, dass der Autor eigentlich nach sinnvollen Alternativen zur Krisenpolitik der Zentralbanken suchen wollte. David Rogers Webb is a former investment banker and hedge fund manager who studied the mechanisms by which the Federal Reserve manipulated financial markets through the Dot-com bubble and bust. Then, early in the Great Financial Crisis of 2008/2009, he became alarmed when client accounts were encumbered in the bankruptcy of a small broker dealer. He then discovered that legal changes had been made quietly which sever property rights to securities.
G. Edward Griffin is a thoughtful writer, documentary filmmaker and tireless advocate of American values, individual responsibility and human freedom. Griffin wrote the landmark book on the Federal reserve titled The Creature from Jekyll Island.
