I've gone through a transformation in recent years. I've come to realize that saying “I don't know” is a good thing. I look around at the world and feel that most of our problems come from the certainty and loathing of those who disagree.
At one point, honestly for a long time, I was an atheist. I felt confident that I knew all that was and all the rules that governed life were based on what we know from science books. And I scorned many people who thought I was wrong.
But today, I can't say that.
A growing number of Americans are with me; a survey from Pew claims about 28 percent of Americans have no religious affiliation, but most of those same people believe in God or another higher power, whether they go to church or not.
They’re divided on religion. Most of us aren’t against religion but think there are pros and cons about it and “reject the idea that science can explain everything.”
I can’t speak for them, but I know I can’t completely leave it behind.
Maybe it's my upbringing. My mother has undying faith.
She had us spend much of our Sundays, Mondays, and any other day she could squeeze in a Black Baptist-ish, Church of Christ church right across from a jail in the center of town.
To this day she says that church saved our lives. She was right. They did.
We needed them. And these flawed, faith-driven people's generosity knew no end. They lifted us up when all we had was the scraps on our backs.
While I can’t guarantee devotion to their inspiration, I’ll remain open to possibilities.
I owe them at least that.

Mehrauli Archaeological Park is an archaeological area spread over 200 acre in the Mehrauli neighbourhood of the South Delhi district of Delhi, India, adjacent to the Qutub Minar (a World Heritage Site) and the Qutb complex.
It consists of over 100 historically significant monuments. It is the only area in Delhi known for 1,000 years of continuous occupation, and includes the ruins of Lal Kot built by Tomar Rajputs in 1060, making it the oldest extant fort of Delhi, and architectural relics of subsequent period, rule of Khalji dynasty, Tughlaq dynasty, Lodhi dynasty of Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, and the British Raj.
The redevelopment of the area as an archaeological park and conservation of important structures started in 1997, in collaboration between Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), the State Department of Archaeology, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), which first started systematic documentation of structures in the area and also started conducting heritage walks since 2000.
Over the years, INTACH has restored some 40 monuments in the Park and added signages, heritage trails, and sandstone trail-markers.
The site is not well restored at the current time but it does have some interesting structures. It’s a great place to explore in your own away from the crowds and enjoy this piece of history.

The Sosua and Cabarete towns are so close, yet they are very different in many ways. And therefore, you can have an absolutely different nightlife experience in these two towns. Let's start with Cabarete.
Cabarete is known for its lively nightlife. This beach town attracts people from all over the world, yet mostly Europeans, Canadians, and Americans, however, Dominican visitors from bigger cities - like Santo Domingo and Santiago - also love coming to Cabarete to chill out at weekends.
All the fun of the night awaits you at Cabarete Beach, walk around and you’ll find something entertaining, especially on certain days of the week, when a few long-established places have regular music events...
The nightlife of Sosua is primarily revolving around the main street called Pedro Clisante. There is no shortage of places to have fun, with many bars, Cafe's, restaurants, and nightclubs. New places often open up on the night scene, however many well-known places are still in operation and going strong.
Some popular restaurants at nighttime include Baileys, Rancho Tipico, VIP Steak House, K LO K, Mango Tropical restaurant, El Conde, Schnitzel Paradise, Kings Restaurant. And for live music restaurants where lots of expats gather, then Parada Tipica El Choco is super popular, especially with their Tuesday "Aperetivo" where bands get folk rocking and dancing. It's located in the outskirts of Sosua, on the main highway opposite Sosua Ocean Village. If you are mainly after drinks and good music you can head to bars or nightclubs like Bar Centralen, Shlemmerstube, Kings, or others like it in the center... If you’re looking for something a little more intimate, head to spots with VIP areas like K Lo K Smoke Bar, or the strip club at Ahnvee Resort, ... If you're up for gambling, you can visit two local casinos like the Playa Chiquita Casino or the Coral Reef Casino...

Apocalypse Year Episode 1203
That Castle in Dublin
One of the reasons I started traveling was because I was invited to wedding celebrations. It's weird, I don't consider myself a traveler or an "internationalist" but there was a time there I was doing quite a bit of traveling. That's what the TBT segment is about.
Anyway... Port of call, Dublin Ireland, my friend was getting married in a castle that was converted into a hotel. It was a lovely wedding and the accomodations were swank and expensive. But you only live once.
After the celebration I was back to the vagabond life. A small guest house over a pub and then... I forget where we're off to next.
H2020 continues. We were on top of the covid scam from jump street. The majority of my friends were wearing masks and sheltering in place. They actually used that language. Of course and as usual I was the outlier. There's a possibility that you haven't heard anything that I'm banging on about during 2020. Maybe you still haven't.
There are still people in Philadelphia wearing masks, although they may have decided to wear them for other reasons. We've lost a few, but I cannot say what caused their departure.
