Released in January 1992.

The tracks here are of the earliest (Belgian) release on 12" vinyl. The slightly later UK release (May 1992) has Analogue Bubblebath 1 as Track 2, a longer version of Flap Head as Track 3 (printed as 'Flaphead') and Phloam as Track 4 (misnamed as Isoprophlex).

Reissues post 2000 seem to use the 'Belgian' tracklist but use the longer version of Flap Head.

It's interesting that Richard James is styled as 'The Aphex Twin' for this recording when a large majority of his releases drop the 'The' and are just 'Aphex Twin'.

Four highly distinctive mixes of the title track from the 'On' EP, so different to the original and to each other, they can hardly be recognised as derivatives. The ones which particularly stand out for me are the dark and haunting '28 Mix' and the very beautiful 'Reload Mix' by Mark Pritchard (of Global Communication).

The 24 tracks presented here are those on the original vinyl release and earlier digital downloads. Track 13 has the title 'Blue Calx' which is another performing alias of Richard James. The other tracks are untitled and just identified by numbers corresponding to their running order on the album.

CD releases:
'Sire' label - 22 tracks (missing Tracks 4 & 19)
Other labels - 23 tracks (missing Track 19)
This was because all 24 tracks wouldn't fit on the 2xCD format used. A third disc would have been needed and this would have strained the budget.

Later digital downloads (including current ones) have an extra two tracks numbered 25 and 26. It's not clear if these were recorded around the same time as the others or if they are later recordings added as bonus tracks.

This album was recorded in 1995 but never released in its own right. It only emerged in 2005 as a free supplement with some vinyl copies of 'Analord 10'. As such the 12" white vinyl is rare and can command high prices if in good condition.

None of the 9 tracks has an official title and just 2 of them have been named by fans, as shown.

The six tracks on this EP have a harsh, industrial feel that isn't really typical, and sound more like Autechre than Aphex Twin.

Richard James suffers from asthma and chose to make a pair of EPs on this theme. Ventolin is a proprietary inhaler treatment for the disease and Salbutamol the name of the active chemical ingredient in Ventolin. The opening 'Salbutamol Mix' features a continuous high-pitched tone from beginning to end. This is meant to emulate tinnitus which is alleged to be a side-effect of Salbutamol. This is off-putting for most people who find the track unlistenable but maybe that's the idea.

'The Coppice' is the name of a pub in Richard James' home town of Redruth, Cornwall and the other tracks are named after small Cornish villages.

This is the second batch of six Ventolin mixes, all released on the same date. These all share the same harsh industrial vibe as tracks on the first recording.

The opening 'Wheeze Mix' closely mirrors the opening 'Salbutamol Mix' on the first EP and emulates tinnitus in much the same way.

Carharrack and Probus are the names of two more Cornish villages. 'Cylob Mix' and 'Deep Gong Mix' are remixes by other DJs.
