Video Package | Ground Zero 2020 | Gohan v. Edward Elric (Icon v. MVP)

The night was February 14th, 2008. The event was Anime Revolution. The match was a Winner Takes All match for the Television and Road to Destiny Championships between Edward Elric and Gohan, respectively. On that night, Edward Elric was the victor but ever since that match, their career trajectories have gone in very different paths. Edward Elric would go on to become one of the most controversial yet intriguing individuals in ACW's history while Gohan became a ruthless World champion that looked to dismantle and destroy that same history before being suspended for a full season last season.

Fast forward to Fusion this year as Gohan would make his triumphant return in ACW from his suspension and would compete in a four-way Excel World title match against Tatsumi, champion Joe Higashi, and Edward Elric. Higashi would end up retaining the title but Elric and especially Gohan would prove that they are more than ready to be next in line for a title shot as the crowd in Brooklyn got to see Gohan and Elric in various parts of the match engage in action. While Gohan makes it clear that he wants to return back to his position as the top guy of the league once again, Edward disagreed and stated that he doesn't trust Gohan at all. After a verbal back and forth, Edward would lay the challenge to Gohan for a match at Ground Zero: MVP versus Icon. Gohan accepted and the Fandom were in a fever pitch. That said, with Edward's increased concern of Gohan's intentions and alleging that Gohan ambushed him with a chair backstage to avoid the match, the debate will be settled at Ground Zero as to who is the best of the best between these two stars.
